New times with BR clutchless 4 speed
My luck seems to suck!
Got home last night with a list of projects. My four car garage went from having one car in it to all the bays jammed full. So my son, Zachary was in charge of changing brake pads on the Bad Bish and pulling the rear tires/wheels off my Turbo Buick and I was installing doors on my Can Am Maverick. We got all the projects done and went out to bed the brakes in the Bish. The transmission is absolutely amazing now, I'm not sure what has changed, the clearances or what but something has changed and it upshifts/downshifts now like I only dreamed it could. After the brakes were finally bedded I got on it a few times. Then I heard something and decided I better go easy to make it home. I got in front of my house and decided to pound on it again and more noises came. ****.
So I pulled in the garage and took a listen. I'm not even sure what it is I am hearing. Could be something in the engine or could be the start of something in the converter/trans again. This project sure is an *** kicker.
I have to get something else done before I can get motivated to start tearing into it.
The Buick will get the tires on it tonight, I think I'm going to build all the i/c pipes for it and send them for polishing so the car can be done completely for a while. The GTR is close to hitting the dyne again after the new engine, front end and under trays are going on today. The 1g is having the trans wiring fixed today and it should be read. The Bish is going to wait until these other three are ready. Too much going on.

Damn sorry man, I guess we'll have to wait. I want to say I hope it's not anything to do with the auto swap as I plan to some how purchase this around the beginning of the year if you decide to sell. Then again, I don't want it to be the engine either as that's just as bad, don't know which would be worse. Hopefully it's nothing and something just came lose that's making a lot of racket.
haha, thanks…….not! haha I really don't want to pull the engine. Hell I don't want to pull the trans either. The car is just sitting now. I don't have the time or energy, I'm a bit burnt out right now. Too many other damn cars and all need something.
I'v been busy as hell on too many projects.
I'm slowly working at making the Bad Bish into what I want it to be. The car hasn't moved much but is working well.
For some updates. Kiggly Racing is making us custom SFI approved flex plates for the car set up. He's done a few but these are full custom for this set up so all the clearances are right as are the bolt hole dimensions. Up until now we've been using what we have and grinding a bit here and there to make it line up. This is going to help with the torque converter situation.
I've been without a speedo since we did this and for the life of me can't get the speedo to work in the car or into the ECU, I'm still working on that.
The front lip got broken a few years ago at the track and I'm going to get the fascia pulled off to replace that and I'm going to try to fit a new FMIC core in for testing.
I've teamed up with Forced Four after using his shift box in the DSM and he's built one for me for the EVO. This is going to allow a full auto shift over 5000 rpm, down shift protection and some other features, one of which is push button/paddle shift shifting.
The picture below is the push button shift selectors I installed last night. I was able to use the old air bag wiring to keep all the wires inside the column and super clean. This will be the next thing that gets tested on the car. I'm waiting on a connector and some wiring to come to finish it. There will be a gear indicator on the dash, haven't decided where yet. Park, reverse, neutral will still work off the manual shift lever.
I'm hoping to have this car is 100% ready to run condition at the shootout.

Update.
The car was at the chassis shop having our new bolt in parachute mount kit done for it. I got it back yesterday and had a chance this morning to test the shift buttons and if wiring them through the airbag wiring was going to work. I'm happy to say it does work, perfectly! Now I will just have to wire in the shift box and test it.
I see no reason the car won't be ready for the Shootout.
