If anything, atleast keep the bad bish, put the 5 speed back in, a smaller turbo like you were saying and just enjoy the car. It would be a shame for you to sell that car!

How much are you looking to get with a 5 speed?

Would be a very sad day if you allowed the bad bish to go anywhere but Buschur racing. I think you should just park it at home. Leave it there and try to forget about it for while. You have dumped so much into that car, it's certainly not the cars fault why things are breaking. Why punish it buy allowing some idiot kid to own it? I know you refuse to put a 5sp back into it but as much as you hated it, it was more reliable in that state. Ran 9.0 or something like that and I recall you running like 10 passes that day? There is only one legendary bish. Keep her home man.

I appreciate the comments and support on keeping the car. BUT, it is for sale and will stay for sale until I sell it or decide to keep it again. At this point I'd prefer to sell it and start over.

The car is NOT for sale with a 5 speed in it, that's for someone else to do after they buy it if that's what they want to do with it.

BTW, the Volks do not go with the car.

Its something else to see it go but totally understandable with the amount of work/money gone into it.

But to keep on the topic of Auto Evo's I was wondering about your opinion on maybe the next best thing. Drenth Sequential DogBox Trans, do you think it would have comparable time to your auto solution when working correctly?

Vid of it in action....

I think the whole point of him going auto was to be able to still daily the car and drive it for long distances and durations, and still have a comfortable ride. A sequential would be able to handle the power no problem but you lose all your driveability and it becomes a pure race car rather than a street car.

Alright.......another update.....but keep in mind my thoughts are bouncing all over with this project now.

So, I am going to keep the car but it will never go back to a 5 speed and I won't run it again with this trans in it.

I am going to pull the trans out, repair it and then put the project up for sale for anyone who wants to continue with it. I truly believe it's very close to being done, I am just done with it.

I was thinking how the car ran 9.0 and then started putting that into perspective......that was in 2008, holy crap that's 6 years ago. Since then I haven't put 1,000 miles on the car, I've done nothing but fix manual transmissions, then this trans, changed clutches etc. It's been a money pit with very little enjoyment.

So onto the next step. No matter which of the two ideas I go with for the car it will be looked down on some and hailed by others. Either way it will not be all EVO anymore but it damn sure will be reliable and bad ***.

I'm guessing there will be some sort of Domestic RWD transmission in there?
