New times with BR clutchless 4 speed
Got curious of what was up with this as I havent seen any updates through fb. Found this thread and just read all 28 pages!!
Do you think it will hold this time Dave? What are we up to on cost of a kit now? Ive been considering selling my evo and I think this trans is the only hope of me being happy with it unless, like you said before, I take a whole lot of hp out of it.

Engineering is expensive and there are lots of variables to try to control. It is also targeted at a specific design intent. Throwing the heaviest/strongest at something isn't engineering
You can "engineer" all you want but at the end of the day real world is proofing the idea. GM built a ton of Motors and did destructive analysis by adding power with nitrous on their ecotec Motors to find at what power and tq levels it would fail in real world use. Also unfortunately not many small business owners can afford a team of engineers to do the type of testing required. If "engineering" was equal to real world results we could all just drag race and Dyno build sheets because of what it "should do"
The car ran at the Shootout and was able to win Max Effort EVO class. We did destroy the converter bolts though which took out the flexplate, starter plate, converter and engine damper. It's fixed now and will be running tomorrow.
