It's a good street racing tranny. U will never have a miss shift, have consistent launches and not damage the dt at all...that's proper!

Do you know the durability of the trans? How often a rebuild would be needed?

Right now there is only one, it is in Dave's car and it keeps breaking. To become a product with durability is first has to become a product.

Other than the hard parts that have broken there are no signs of wear on the other parts. Once the hard parts are sorted I feel it's going to hold up well.

Damn interested in buying one to run as a daily driver. Tired of driving stick for the past 13+ years in Atlanta horrible traffic with my almost 4 hour a day commute.

Would there be a 6 or 8 speed option after this one is built and done? I'm interested as long as it's not 1 million dollars. Figured I'd ask anyway...hehehehhe

you need to read the thread. this is not a smooth driving auto trans by any means. its called clutchless 4 speed for starters. you have to manually shift it. it also has the line pressure maxed at all times. so it only shifts smooth at full power. light cruising you will feel every shift.

This is incorrect actually, not sure how you dreamt that up. The shifts are actually softest while driving around normally. You do have to manually shift it but that can be controlled by an ECU or maybe something else in the future so it's full auto.

We met with the machine shop today. The new 300m shafts will be getting started soon. The trans case is going back there too for more measurements as we had to modify it here to get final fitment dead on.
