high compression question

high compression question

Hey guy i have question is 11:1 compression on 2.1 build to high for e85? Dome input please thanks

it'll be fine.just don't try to run it on pump gas very hard.

You will be ok. I just had DB build me a 11:5 CR motor and will run E85/E98.

Just don't push it really hard on 91/93 I would stay at mid to high 400 or 500 horse but on e85/e98 that motor will love it

I wouldn't run that high of compression. Unless you only plan on running e85 and don't plan on selling the car.

i know people who run a lot higher compression ratio than that for e85.... 13/14:1

on methanol, we would target as high as we could get for the piston & valve sizes.... ~16.5:1

I have personally ran 12.5:1 and 40psi.
