Hks 272 vs kelford 272 for ix

Hi, what hp/torque gain I could expect between these 2 cams setup, I already have HKS installed on my car... Is there's a comparison somewhere for IX cams? Whats the best bang for the buck ?

Thanks

That is an old test and does not apply to the Evo IX.

GSC S2's are proven to be better than both. HKS 272's are very mild.

In fact, what I heard was out of a test of all the 272 cams for Evo 4G63s HKS was last, next to last was Brian Crower 272s. And I know that because my car has BC 272s in it....lol. GSCs were either 1st or 2nd.

For an Evo 9 the GSC S2 is the best choice for the stock turbo but if you want a mild cam go with the GSC S1.

How many hp/tq I can gain with GSC S2 or Kelford instead of my HKS? Is it worth the price?

I just want to be sure that if I change my cams I will see a noticable difference (of course with a tune)
Other suggestions?

I would say its worth the money for some s2s you would see a decent gain up top hks cam can become somewhat of a bottle neck IMO

I have an evo 8 and I just went from hks 272's to the gsc s2 cams and I gained 17whp on a 91 octane 22psi of boost tune. The only thing that was changed was the cams. Both tunes are on 91 octane and at 22psi. Set up is a htsgt3582r with all the bolt ons and supporting mods on a stock engine block.

387 whp with the hks 272's on 91 octane at 22psi. The 426whp run was done on 100 octane at 25psi of boost

404whp with the gsc s2 cams on 91 octane at 22psi
