Sup guys, pretty new to the forum. I'm looking for an evo9 stock turbo (good condition) and want one ready to bolt on. I have a 2005 evo so was wondering if that turbo would fit (looking at the specs I assume it would). Reason being - on the expressway at 5am going to work at 60mph, huge truck infront of me runs over a deer where I then hit it on the passenger side of the car. No where to maneuver (very busy expressway on for some odd reason 2 cars were freakin parked on the shoulder) so I hit it. Cracked my from bumper, cracked my oil filter and my turbo hasn't been working since. The Turbo is making a SUPERCHARGED noise now and my boost gauge wont go above 0. So yeah, story of my life. Any offers would be awesome.

 

Check for boost leaks first!

 

Well I brought the car to my friend (one who rebuilds cars, another is a mechanic for Nissan). They were looking for any problem they could find under the hood but they came to the conclusion where a new turbo would solve the problem. To check for boost leaks, would it require unbolting the turbo itself?

 

Sounds like a coupler may of came loose. Check the pipping
