Which clutch is right for me?
Which clutch is right for me?
My clutch or throw out bearing is shot, either way I am going to replace them both. My EVO VIII has 320 WHP right now, but I want to push closer to 600 maybe 700. The guy who tunes my car suggests that I get a competition clutch stage 4. He swears by them and says that's what they use in all of their cars. I read some mixed reviews on them. The car is a daily driver but I like to push it and get on it. I'm looking for high quality at a good price and something that won't give me monster calves when I drive it.
Thanks for the help

I ended up getting the competition clutch stage 4. The person who owned the car before me half assed everything and they left about 3 bolts out of the tranny last time they changed out the clutch, this is what caused my clutch to go bad, and it caused a crack in the bell housing. I just dropped the tranny off to get the crack welded up today. I should have everything back together by next week. I'll let you know how it is after I drive it.

Go with what your mechanic suggests. If you want to push around 600hp then I don't think there are any street friendly clutches. Who cares what it sounds like. Rattling and clunking sounds tuff along with squealing brakes :P
