exedy twin drives better then stock. triple you need to learn how to leave with it. i have owned both twin and triple hd.
the twin was very forgiving when letting out the clutch no matter how fast you did it. the triple can grab on you random if you dont leave it out slow enough.
after the triple was well broken in though it had similar driving manners to the twin.
always recommend someone a twin over a triple if they are within the power capacity for it.
twin is also quieter then the triple. its also less abusive to the transmission.

Ya i seen those threads where the hub strips out. i have my trans out of my car and i inspected that very closely and there is no sign of wear on mine. knock on wood i guess. my triple has about 9000 miles on it.Originally Posted by SmurfZilla

Yeah my whole stand on any performance clutch is their hit and miss. I'm terrified of clutches but.....i think the few few complaints are far exceeded by the people that are happy with them.

Yeah evoajr I think the big issue with alot of the singles while it definetly probably good for 500whp if it's running at a safe low torque level is the longevity of the clutch. Not to mention the stress of has on the drive train. To be honest I think the best clutch out there is corbonetic carbon twin. Unfortunately it's 2500 lol.

My next clutch will be the quartermaster 8 leg simply for power and longevity of the 8 leg. Speaking from experience im at 412tq and 517whp on a act single. I'm waiting for it to go now.
I find it interesting that a lot of people say the twins and triples drive like stock. I've never actually driven a stock clutch but I couldn't imagine they drive like my triple now and couldn't imagine they drive like my twin in my previous car. I've had bad luck with exedy clutches in general and feel like they take some of the joy out of driving my car. I chose the competition clutch based on English racing's review. By the sounds of it that is the clutch I have been looking for.

well I've driven my buddies evo with exedy tripple. The pedal feel is what im referring to is noticablely closer to stock feel than say an act six puck lol. As far as drivability its not a stock feel. I guess that should have been specified.

OS Giken. The best twin disk you can find.
STR2C or R2CD depending on driving style and clutch abuse. Pedal stiffness is less than stock anyway.

Anymore input?? Im torn between rebulding my triple or trying out the competition clutch stage 2...

Any particular reason?? Like stated before this is purely for a street car that may go to the track once a year and see a few launches here and there. What kind of life can I expect out of the triple for street use?Originally Posted by shaz1980

I'm breaking in a new CC stg 3.5. Feels wonderful, so far. Can't explain why, but the whole driving character has improved, for the better. Solid, smooth, and progressive.
