Clutch advice needed

Usually I don't post things like this.. but ran into an issue.
I have a comp stage 2 on the car right now, it's slipping pretty bad. By pretty bad I mean boost = slip. Funny part is it happened almost instantly. Within a 24 hour period it went from no slip to full blown IHATEYOU rage quit.
Previous owner did the clutch at 45-50k miles, the car now has 104k. Not a bad lifespan for this clutch.. but what i'm questioning/wondering is what I need to do now. Can I swap the disc with another stage 2 or even 3 disc? Or should I replace the PP/entire assembly? I've heard completely mixed reviews.
The car gets tracked (road course) and it will see abuse. I don't plan on over 350whp so I don't need anything crazy. I was looking at the exedy clutches, but i'm not sure how I feel about puck clutches with awd cars, wouldn't that be excessive drivetrain shock? Any and all advice is appreciated.

Your goals are identical to mine.

My car is currently on the stock clutch (though it's put away for the winter) and that is on it's last legs.

I'm getting a CC stage 2, and I don't think I would EVER go higher than that unless I built the transmission (which isn't out of the question). My car is at 305whp.

I was actually just looking around last night for someone that carries JUST the discs for the CC system, but I ran out of time before I stumbled across them. I know someone must have them though, because they're swappable.

I'm not going to get into clutch wars here, but fwiw, I was PLANNING on going with the stock clutch again, but since it's such a complex question of "what IS a stock clutch" (you can't really buy a stock clutch anymore with the expectations that it will perform as good as the one that came in the car from the factory) I just decided to go with the CC.

I believe English Racing would have good info on the discs though... they're running like 100 of them through their cars for testing...

Do NOT just change part of the clutch components. Due clutch, PP and TB at the minimum and at the very least resurface the Flywheel. That slipping clutch is generating heat --heat warps metal components..Unless of coarse you just like doing clutch jobs and want to be with your car twice for a hell of a job..

Yeah I think after that kind of mileage and abuse, you need to do the whole thing. Whole assembly and flywheel. With "low" power like 350 and organic or cerrametallic clutch should be enough, but its not going to like a bunch of drag launches. But the puck clutches don't like being on the street.

Yes, change it all while you are there. you probaly have hard heat spots on the flywheel and PP anyway...

If you are tracking the car, do not compromise, change it all.

i would go twin-disk, i love the pedal feel and all around drivability. I have had puck clutches before and i can safely say once i went to a twin disc i do not think there is any going back.

Look into English Racing's reviews on clutches, they've done a lot with CC.
If you have the money then a twin disc is great for the street. If not then replace everything.

See if your flywheel is in spec and if so then have it resurfaced, get a new CC kit. It's better to do it all at once.

I'm using a 6-puck and I just did a 6-puck stage 4 in a friend's evo a little while ago and it's fine on the street, just harder than stock feel. It all depends on your ultimate goals and what you want. good luck :thumbs up:
