Are you at the stage where you need a 75mm tb?

Imo I would go with a ported stock vs the aftermarket. Any aftermarket tb's that I've run always have driveability issues. With that said, I've never run a boomba.

Maybe add your mods and what your intentions are with the car.

I've heard bad things about all the aftermarket tb's, especially the Boomba. No personal experience but I've been told by reliable sources that drivability sucks and it's cheaply made. Look into Buschur's ported stocker.

^^^ and also all you will do is run into a road block at the manifold which will also need to be ported-- no sense in doing one without the other--no benefit.

Ive heard aftermarket throttle bodies can have a lot of drivability issues. Makes me hesitant to get one. I run a 65mm now

Not to steal the thread, but at what point is a 65mm tb becoming restrictive? I mean AWD motorsports car went 8's on a ported stock intake manifold and a 65mm throttle body

I believe there was a thread about this (there have been many) a few weeks ago. A 65mm TB is basically good for 95% of the owners on here, going bigger although allowing more air in makes your throttle response lag quiet a bit (as you can imagine). Also if you’re going that big I hope you have a missive intake mani, as it would be pointless to do this on a stock IM.

Someone either Englishracing or BR did a test where they went from a 65mm TB 2.5” intake piping to a 75mm TB and 3” intake piping, and i believe the gains were marginal (8whp or something). Hopefully I’m not talking out of my *** here since I’m just going off of memory. Just food for thought.

this quote is from the BR website when you go to buy their ported TB 65mm-

"Through extensive dyno testing we've found that even up to 700+ whp the Buschur Racing 65 mm throttle body provides the best power throughout the entire power band. This testing was done with throttle bodies up to 3.25" all being beat by the smaller 65mm unit. No gains were had anywhere in the powerband by going larger"

OP- im not 100% but, im sure they did that test with their ported stock IM. so idk how the results would turn out using an after market IM.
But me personally, i think just the drive-ability factor alone out weighs the amount of power made by it. just my 2 cents!
