Bent Crankshaft - Would this cause any problems??

We purchased a used crankshaft for a friend
We checked it for straightness and looks like there is a 5 degree bend on the tip where we install the crankshaft pulley
Can we use this crank? Would it cause us any problems?

Here is where the bend is:

From extreme vibration to destroyed bearings and journals. That needs to be straight.

That seems like it will be way too far out of spec and like Inferno said will put a ton of strain on everything that mates with the rotating assembly.

Ah the Old Komparator Ve Sehpasi,

Is the bend at the ends or was this a total measurement? Whats the difference in the mains?
Did you have it magnafluxed for crackes to? Thats just to much out of spec Either way it was measured, that thing would vibrate.

You measured it in the block with the mains torques down?

Have a machine shop recheck it... If it really is bad it will trash your motor in hours if not minutes... As the high side passes over a bearing it will squeeze all the oil out of the way causing galling and probably spin the bearings... Then your block will join it in the trash...
At best you can shave it back to spec but then dont plane to run more then 25psi... The load will crack the journals
