Did you try spraying hairspray on throttle body/pipes before putting the couplers on? Also what kind of UICP is it and what size T-bolt clamps? The clamps might be maxed out or not put on tight enough.

Or you can just buy the couplers for $20-$30.

No.
Most likely whoever did the clutch job removed the UICP, and when they put it back on, they tightened up the throttle body first, then tightened the lower part. So basically it's forcing the UICP to sit at a strange angle when tightened, and the pressure/movement is just enough to make it break free.

Remove the UICP completely, line it up and connect all of the pieces without tightening anything, then tighten them down into place one by one

in my experience, the stock rubber elbow blows off the t-body pretty easily. as someone said hairspray helps. it might sound odd, but putting a big (really big) ziptie on elbow just beyond the t-body helps by limiting expansion of the hose.
