Some copper spray for gaskets other than that pretty straight forward. I would grab a 2nd pair of hands if you can.

Yeah, someone else suggested that as well. I'll grab some.

And agreed - I'm hoping to have a 2nd and maybe a 3rd pair of hands. You volunteering?

On a side note, I got a great deal on my remaining parts from Nate at MAPerformance, so I should be ordering my final parts in a few days. This is turning into a 'Builds' thread.

Yea, not sure if u can avoid the downtime, but u could always pull the stock turbo now and kinda prep the area. If your nething like me, i was doin nething possible to make the install come sooner if that makes sense. Took me and 2 buddies around 8 hours to do mine but we ran into a major hiccup which almost cost me the price of an FP Black lol. I'm also very picky on makin sure everything is installed correctly

PB blaster, rags, antisieze and patience are basically all you need. You don't need all the bolt kits etc. I don't have any of that crap for my car its useless.

I would check with MAP on if you should use a o2 gasket with the dump. I have a Toxicfab setup and per Collins request, you cannot use one because it will cause a leak.

You don't have any bolts to hold the turbo onto the manifold??? Or the 02 housing onto the turbo???

That's what I am referring to - replacing the rusty OEM bolts (that will probably break), with new ones.

No I was referring to the new and improved ones they offer. I still have all my old ones after taking my turbo off a few times. Upgraded bolts are a waste of time and money is what I was referring to. Now the head to manifold bolts are worth the money, being when you do them, the arp ones will not rust into place like the oem ones will. I have arp ones in my talon and they basically ****ed up the threads on the turbo itself and it was a complete waste of 80 bucks.

I was just going to go with the bolts that MAPerformance sells ... I don't know if they are ARP.

Picked up some Permatex RED thread lock and Permatex Red RTV. Also started spraying all of the associated bolts tonight with PB blaster for next week's install.

EDIT> Just re-read previous comments, looks like I meant to get anti-seize as opposed to thread-lock.

Ordered a case of Valvoline Racing Oil for the new turbo. Any recommendations on radiator fluid?

I'm still planning to install the EF3 this weekend.
