Small engine oil leak, unknown origin. Pic inside

Pulled out of the garage a few days ago and noticed a very small spot of oil on the floor. Not enough for it to be a puddle, just a spot. Wiped it up, checked the next day, and there was nothing, so I forgot about it.

Today I back my car out again and notice another spot of oil at the same place. I jacked up the car to see what I could find. A plate (clutch inspection plate?) had a small film of oil on it, and oil was pooling on one of the bolts and dripping from there. I imagine the leak originates higher up than the plate as the whole thing had oil on it. See image below.

Anyone have any ideas where the leak could be coming from?

If it's any correlation to you, my car was also displaying similar symptoms and I'm replacing the oil pan. $123 from Mitsu parts.

Remove the plate to see. If not the oil pan then it may be the rear main seal...Any issue with the clutch lately ?

I would lean towards the rear main seal.

Could be either rear main or oil pan, my vote is for oil pan as well. No need to replace it, just remove it and reseal it. Most oil leaks I feel can be attributed to crankcase pressure. The two little ports on the VC aren't sufficient at higher power levels.

Thanks guys, will check oil pan later this week since it does't seem too difficult to remove.

Haven't had any clutch issues.

Leaked stopped on its own so I never ended up investigating further. Had the clutch replaced two weeks ago and the shop didn't mention any odd leaks around that area.
