It's not an authenic wheel. You can tell by looking at the blades. This wheel is flank milled leaving a smooth blade surface. The Garrett wheels are point milled leaving lines.

When you start taking the CHRA apart, reliabilty becomes highly suspect. You're better off selling your turbo and buying a genuine Garrett turbo. Not to mention, wheel to housing clearances play a role in reliability and performance and who knows what some shop will use for the clearances.

there are plenty people on DSM forums bolting in billet wheels with no balancing and getting great results. this wheel looks like exact duplicate of garret blade wheel. cause it most likely is. all the wheels they make are copies of someones elses work.

if you have a gt3076 this wheel bolts right in with no machining.

 

I have a kinugawa turbo with billet wheel and it has those lines in it.

 

mine is 52trim, so machine is needed, but it will def gain a bit(i guess)

The gtx series of turbos are garrets newest turbo line up. The follow on from the gt series of turbd that have been very popular in in different forms

 

That first link, the compressor wheel is obviously not a Garrett. On the GTX3582, that's not a standard Garrett compressor housing type. And it appears a serial number of something is scratched out on the name plate? So who knows if the clearances are machined properly on that compressor housing. If anything happens, it certainly will not be warrantied.

In my opinion, you're better off buying from an authorized Garrett distributor. There are too many reliability and performance risks with these turbos where these companies are swapping out wheels, machining things themselves, etc. Who knows what tolerances they use and balance specifications, or if they do any balancing at all.
