I put it on a Exedy Triple disk, I was slamming gears last night doing some testing. The mono lock is the real deal.

I finally got my TOB to lock into the monolock... they weren't kidding about the extra force required. I literally used a 2x4 and mini sludge hammer to 'push' the fork and snap the TOB into place lol

I installed one right before I got rid of my 8. No issues whatsoever. OEM literally fell into pieces, trust me you don't want to pull the tranny just to replace this so next time your in there or have to replace it get the mono lock.

Told yea ha, Did you try and pull it off the pressure plate by hand? I couldn't even get the thing off!

So it seems to be a P.I.T.A to replace once the time comes to change out the clutch.

Will it have to be damaged to be removed?

no, I didn't even try that..... I just couldn't get enough leverage on the fork to get it in. There's no job the mini sludge has failed me at

I would recommend you trying to pinch the monolocks fingers from the back of the pressure plate as you pry on the front to get it out without damaging.

I took mine out of the pressure plate a time or two showing my friends. It isn't too terrible. It is definitely stiffer than the original one.
