overboosting with greddy profec e01

anyone having problems with greddy profec e01? its overboosting whatever settings i put in, if i dont let off the gas, it goes all the way to 27psi. i just want to boost 22psi! the COM port is going to the wastegate actuator and the NC port is connected to the turbo outlet, and the NO is open, do i need to connect it to the stock solenoid for some signal? or do i just leave the ports there open and plug connected? i just want to give up and put my hallman back in, because i want to enjoy the nice features of the EBC please help

my mods are
car: 2005 ACD evo 8 USDM
3inch exhaust.
aem injen filter.

i just checked the solenoid, its working perfectly, its letting air in NC and out to COM, and when i put 9v battery to it, it closes just like it should.

Are none of the settings controlling boost at all? I just installed a profec and I made sure it was set at wastegate pressure so I could tell it was controlling boost properly.

im going to try new settings tonight and test if this is working, i will put SET in 0%

Yeah if its hooked up correctly you lower everything then it should at least be wastegate pressure.

I just messed with my profec so the settings are fresh. I think they are essentially the same controller (your's is fancier) so I might be able to help. There is a thread on here thats a few years old that gave me a starting point (but I had to tweak it just to start). Search for greddy Profec B and you should find it.

Let me know if I can help.

What happens when you bypass the solenoid and hook it right up to wastegate pressure?

i took it out and checked the solenoid, then i reinstalled it.. now im only boosting 11psi, probably wastegate pressure.
Does it matter if the boost solenoid is upside down ?
when i had my hallman before, i was boosting 22psi all day, very happy.
just want this frigin thing to work properly

If spring pressure is currently 11#, then you need to adjust the WGA so as to increase spring pressure. You are going to want to do this regardless of the type of boost control device (MBC, EBC, or ECU) that you are employing.

For your 22# peak try adjusting spring pressure up into the 14-17# range at least. This moderate level of spring tension should be achievable with the stock actuator.
