Has anyone tested this manifold on a dynojet back to back?

I got mine back today from JMS Racing in San Antonio. The end result was +10whp and +5lb ft on my evo 8 with evo 9 turbo. The manifold really wants a bigger stock frame turbo to maximize the results like red or black.

So car was dynoed with your original manifold, that was pulled off and FP Manifold installed, and re-dynoed?

No mapping adjustments made?

Were you running a ported stock mani or unported before?

Always bring a flash drive and get a copy of the runfile. Winpep is a free download.

FP Evo VII/IX Race Manifold results are in. Evo stats are Stock block, Cams, Stock IX Turbo, TBE, 93 octane, EBC tuned for 25psi. In conclusion, the manifold did result in alleviating some back pressure on this setup. I think larger gains would show on E85 and/or larger stock frame turbo. #jms

- Stock OEM manifold unported then to FP unported.

The map was adjusted after the install and in the raw state yielded something like 2hp. The map adjustment was mainly less boost and less fuel required to make 10whp more than oem. The car does drive much more smoothly and rolls into boost in a more linear fashion (even as a stock turbo car). I will either go to FP red or E85 in about a month or so to see what the difference is with a more aggressive approach.

As for a HPDE car this is pretty much on the money in my eyes!

I believe that boost previously was set at 27.5psi to compensate unknowingly for a leaking evo X metal BPV on a greddy upper pipe. It was removed and I added a HKS upper pipe with a modified SSQV (soft spring with 3 spacers super fast responding and NO LEAKS) and boost was able to be reduced to 25. Initial run with the change yielded almost 30psi and 380whp but just looking at the A/F and plot it was not a safe way to conduct business.

The guys at JMS have been really patient with me and we have managed to share some innovative/unique ideas from my rally past and their drag racing expertise. Not many shops tolerate you working on your own car (to help save money) and are still willing to give you advice on your journey.

I honestly don't think it will be possible to make 400 on 93oct so I might as well take the plunge to E85 or a bigger turbo
