Micrometer the runners at the port but that doesn't mean it's the same where I'm planning on shaving off.

We have a probe that measures the depth of a surface. We use it on our CNC heads.

I guess getting a 6-point automotive grade nut is above the skill level of the average evo guy these days?

I get it would be annoying, but some of you guys act like it's the end of the world.

When I said this Manifold should be fixed by FP for free prior to shipping I got called all kinds of a product Hater and such.... I'm guessing the next batch will be better than these Betas. Somebody had to pay for the next casting molds. Sorry fellas, that was kind of a low blow huh?

No not a low blow at all... that's part of the Q&A T&E process and it comes with the territory. There are some items that will always require some gentle massage to fit when it comes to the aftermarket so this is really not that big of a deal. It would have been nice to get better communication on the issues but hey I guess when you have a solid reputation you can afford for people to come to you instead of reaching out to them.

If I wanted something I had to message or modify to fit I would have purchased a manifold off eBay. When I buy something from a reputable shop I expect it to get what I paid for. Not a jab at you btw.

Couldn't have said it better. I mean come on - a bolt kit is one thing. Grinding off part of a new manifold is another. Especially when you have customers which like to keep their new parts as clean (and new looking) as possible.

And if that's the case (grinding part of manifold) at least let their customers know ahead of time? It looks like they had to do it on their original prototype so it's not like they're clueless to the issue.

I don't have the tools to grind away on the manifold. I picked up my own hardware for ~$10 though.

I know I keep being the bearer of bad news, but....

Throw a factory heat shield and see how well the bolt holes line up.

You've been warned.
