does anyone on this forum know (or be able to measure for me) what the inner diameter of the ring gear from a evo 7/8/9 transfer case is (or what the outside diameter of the diff housing is where the ring gear sits) ?


I'm working on a project car and have a ring gear from an outlander (different ratio to that of an evo) and want to know if it will fit onto the housings of any evos, I've already ruled out early (4-6) evos and vr4 legnum/galant transfer housings, but read somewhere that evos 7 or 8 or 9 may have slightly larger housings (and so potentially a slightly larger ring gear?
