question ondifferent types of fp hta 3582r
i got a question about the turbo i am planning to pick up and been doing so much search to figure and answer my question but couldnt find any information on it. the turbo i am picking up is an fp hta 3582r and its not an ordinary 3582r. this turbo i am getting comes with a short runner and has a waste gate tube coming out of the side of the turbo and i was told by a friend that i cant use my old tubluar manifold with a waste gate. If that is the case is it worth buying it and what is the spec on these. Id been searching everywhere online but only thing i can find is the regular hta 3582r.

It just has the PTE dsm style turbine housing. Swap the housing for a t3(or t4 if that's what your manifold is flanged for) that's machined for a 35r turbine wheel and you're good to go with your original manifold.
so what you are saying is that the housing on that is a PTE dsm style turbine housing and i can just swap it just like that? lol sorry im still new to this and just wondering why it has a PTE housing for because i though fp uses a garett turbo and this turbo is off a evo 9
The picture you posted has the cast manifold turbo setup from buschur. He had the mani made for evo with dsm style flange. The turbo is still a garret but the turbine housing is made by PTE for dsm style bolt on fitment.
If you buy a housing for a 35r, it will bolt up to your t3 jmfab manifold and work as that setup did before.

Buschur's kit came with a T31 housing you can use that or buy a garrett GT housing they both use the same size wheel. Trade off is that the T31 gives you more room but the GT housing has a standard T3 and you can get it in V-band. If you switch from the T31 with BR's cast manifold you also may need to cut and weld your downpipe to fit. I switched mine and kinda wish I wouldn't have, I have a nice tubular manifold thats extermely pretty but it made no room for my radiator and I had to cut downpipe. The only saving grace was I dont have an A/C so I was able to place my fan where the condensor use to be.

The housing used on the Buschur cast manifold kits is NOT a t31. A t31 is an open volute t3. This is an FP30 turbine housing with the integrated wastegate flange. Basically the only turbine housing that will mate to his cast manifold. If he can find a t31 or a GT housing, he will be able to re-use his other tubular manifold and wastegate. If he had a standard 4 bolt o2 housing, he might get lucky with downpipe clearance since he has an existing t3 manifold setup.

If the doesn't have the FP logo on the runner, its a Buschur kit. It says right no his website he uses a T31.

Buschur's kit which is also an FP HTA35R uses the T31 and not FP's manifold.

your best bet would to swap the whole kit on your car from manifold turbo and downpipe... i used to run the same turbo kit... if you would like to run the turbo on a tubular manifold you would have to replace the exhaust housing to a t3 flange or to whatever flange the manifold is.... and then buy or make yourself a downpipe depending on what exhaust housing your getting (4 bolt, 5 bolt, v-band) to be able to work... it would just be easier to run the whole buschur turbo kit power difference wouldn't be that much anyways
