size of evo 7/8/9 transfer case ring gear/ diff housing

does anyone know the internal diameter of the transfer case ring gear from an evo 7/8/9 (or the external diameter off the diff housing where the gear sits)??

I got a replacement gear set and a LSD for a custom build i'm working on, but the ring gear I bought is sitting loosely on the diff casing rather than a pretty tight fit (theres about ~1mm clearance between the casing and the ring gear!)

the holes line up correctly at the back, but i very much doubt this is how it was supposed to be!

things are complicated by the fact that I never had a complete transfer case to work with, its a project car and I bought the t-case housing from someone locally (over here in australia) that had had the internals stripped to rebuild their dead one, and then sourced a ring/pinion and lsd to complete it.

I had been told the casing/LSD was from an evo8, and the gear set was also from an evo8, although I am now suspecting one of these was wrong and was probably off an earlier evo.

if anyone has a ring or diff casing from an 7/8/9 handy could they please let me know either the internal diameter of the ring gear, or the outside diameter of the diff casing where the ring gear sits, this would let me work out which of the parts i bought is wrong.

thanks!

anyone?

If anyone has any suggestions of someone to contact who may be able to help me with this (the correct size of the ring/housing) that would also be good.. I'm getting quite desperate to figure out which of the parts is the wrong one, I'm starting to run out of time remaining to claim a incorrect item was sent

Try contacting the big name trans/tcase builders (Shep, Jack, TRE). They may be able to lend a hand.
