Drive train maintenance

I am looking to change all my fluid in the tranny, diff, and transfer case.

I'm looking around at all the fluids available and was wondering if I should just stick with the Diaqueen?

Any recommendations? All the threads I searched were a little old.

Thanks

I would buy fluid specific to the MR transmission. It's different than the 5-speed fluids

Also, Lancershop jacks up their prices, so anything from there isn't ever a "good deal" in that sense

Stick with diaqueen for the diff and t-case. I use amsoil or the redline cocktail for the trans.

If you are lazy like me and don't want to spend a week studying other people's opinions, Mitsubishi fluids will do you good. At my next maintenance interval I want to try the 6 speed transmission fluid in my 5 speed.

oem all the way for drivetrain fluids, unless your drivetrain is upgraded and would go with builders choice

Stick with oem fluids. I just go to my local mitsubishi dealership and get my fluids. Cost about 160$ for everything you will need. You will also need to by two fluid pumps (just so you don't mix fluids at all)

Better yet, dont even buy from them. Tons of people had problems with their shipping times and wrong items delivered.

Im running all Amsoil in the drivetrain. Shifts buttery smooth, quick and no weird noises. Twice Ive seen Diaqueen come out of the tcase rather dark and thick (not my car). Once I seen that, I stopped using Diaqueen.

Stick with OEM, unless you have an upgraded tranny and race it!

Also, Lancershop is awesome, pricey, I don't thinks so, when you look at all the products they offer and how quickly they can get them to you. Have been dealing with them for the last 10 years for my EVO and have had no complaints.

Don't use the BG crap. It's too thin and it'll damage your trans.
Use Redline MT90, 75-90ns
Motul 300v
Amsoil 75w-90

Diaqueen is "good" but those three oils I listed are the best.

I use Redline heavy weight shock proof in the t-case, because that's what the fluid is designed to do. It's been approved by TRE.
I use either Redline or Amsoil in my trans.
For the rear diff, either use the redline shock proof again or run diaqueen. You can't go wrong with either.
