I have no doubt it works well, I'm more interested in how much spool it sacrifices vs the twin scroll vs how much more midrange and top end it makes. The comparo from Robert was about all I've seen or what R/T and ER did to Mikey's Black.

Wink

I have also been interested in the new FP stainless housings and what the performance differences are. It seems that additional $$ needs to be spent on a new down pipe or on custom fabrication work modifying a larger sized down pipe already purchased. I was thinking about upgrading my stock turbo with an FB black, however this option is now more expensive. Decisions......decisions?

I wish I could say I enjoyed this turbo but I didnt. Made good number before it started leaking oil like crazy. Couple that with horrible customer service, it's really not worth it

Is this the older style before the new SS housing?

I had the ss style fp red. I enjoyed it till my car looked like a steam train and lost over 100whp. they said everything is fine it's just a little leaky so I couldn't allow it to go on my car again.

I believe what he was asking is if you had a newer Xona CHRA which you didn't you had the older cast CHRA with an SS turbine housings.

Dump Pipes

I've purchased a BB red. Looks like a great turbo and I'm really looking forward to getting it installed. I do wish that FP offered a dump pipe that was made for the new housing as I'm really left with no choice but to fab one here in Australia. Also, I wasn't aware that you need to purchase additional clamps and flanges, only found that out after the turbo had arrived which is frustrating. I'll post dyno results after I install, hopefully within the next month.

FP does offer a O2 type housing that connects up to a standard 3" down pipe. Look on their webpage...
