Always used a 44 and never had any boost issues.

The 44mm is a better choice. Less of a hassle and some would argue "better" performance.

The less boost you run, the more that goes through the wastegate. Sure, if you're running 30+ psi, the wastegate isn't going to do much. That being said, I had a 44mm and liked it.

That's what they say, but I've never had a problem with high boost and a 44 also less chance of boost creep.

If you are not having any issues with your wastegate like surging etc... then I wouldn't swap it out only because you're going to have to get an adapter plate for the vband on the 44mm and a tbolt clamp for the 44m etc..

If there's nothing wrong with it, leave it alone.

The only issue you might have with your current gate is that it's common for the paper gasket to blow out where it's thin on the edges. A good solution for this is to run an SCE copper gasket (part number 4150).

But if you aren't having any issues with your current 38mm gate, then I agree with these other guys in that you should just let it be. A 38mm valve is definitely appropriately sized for the application though. If you ever decide to switch to a v-band gate for the sake of simplicity (or ability to clock), you could very well run the 38mm MSV. But I would recommend cutting off the 2-bolt flange and welding on the v-band flange instead of using one of the adapters.

Oh thanks for your opinion, i order new gasket today, i will change it. Why you recommend that? Will have problem if use the adapter?

I will run with this setup, maybe in a future will change the exhaust manifold with the turbo too.

IMO, one of the prime reasons for ditching an F38 for a v-banded gate is to also ditch the gasket. So if I were doing that, the last thing I would want is use an adapter that maintains a gasket.
