Knock knock I need a new engine

Okay so I bought myself into a problem just bought my EVO about 2 or 3 weeks ago

Has mods and tuned I fell in love with it bought it been daily driving it
Now it's knocking. In so mad at myself for being so impulsive so please don't be too
Harsh on me .
What I would like to know would be the best route for me rebuild wise
I was looking at the AMS rebuild kit . Is it good or are there other things I can do
I am an EVO noob but I am planning to do the work myself in my garage
If it's not to hard.. I need this car running soon
ADVICE PLEASE

Honestly it started knocking when I let it warm up after my shift was over I did run her a little hard on my way to work that morning when I was on the highway . Really hoping I didn't cause any internal damage

It must have a very bad tune. What mods are on the car at the moment?

IF it does turn out you need to rebuild it, what sort of power are you looking for? HP/TQ?
I'm assuming you still want it to be a street daily driven car?

But I'm baffled at how it started to knock when it was just idling. Did you not notice any knocking sound after the highway pull? Please check your oil level, that could be the issue.

I'm hoping the damage hasn't been done, but if it has, then reply with what your intended goals are and I'm sure members here, as well as sponsors and shops, will gladly help you with your goals.

Are you sure its really knocking and not just lifter tick? It can get pretty loud at times.

Every EVO gets knocks, doesn't mean you need an engine.
If your a noob forget about rebuilding your engine fast!

Why don't you let a reputable tuner decide your issue?
small diagnostic fee to sleep better.

Whenever my engine is in idle people always ask, "whats wrong with your car?" "why is it making that knocking noise?"
I tell them its normal or to **** off!

Do not drive it until you are sure of the issue. You could drain your oil and see if you spun a bearing or just tow it to a nearby shop (one that is great with Evos) and have them take a look.

Hope you could get proper help to diagnose and repair it correctly. Incidents like these will make the community look bad. Cars shouldn't just blow up a week after transfer to new owner.

Definitely consult a tuner, not just any tuner though. Look for someone who regularly tunes evos
