Ooops
So 20+ years of wrenching on cars and i'm embarrassed to admit what just happened.
I'm sharing in the hopes someone has experience with this.
Very long story short:
A small piece of the coil boot plastic housing fell into the cylinder. The piece is roughly 3/8x3/8x1/8 or so and very brittle.
I've tried looking for it but I can't find it, I saw it fall in there so i'm 100% sure it's in there.
I've tried blowing compressed air, using a vacuum, using a mechanics claw pick up tool, and as a last resort I tried cranking the motor with all plugs out hoping it would push it out.
My plan now is to remove the turbo intake and ensure the turbo can spin freely. Then start the motor and allow it to idle for 10 minutes. After idle I'll shut it down and verify the turbo spins freely again. If so, call it a day.
What do you guys think? Anything else I should try?
What risks does a small brittle piece of plastic pose to the motor and turbo ?

ferk, i hate even thinking about dropping **** down there, my buddy was helping his buddy out doing some simple butterfly valve deletes on an ej20, the dumbass he was helping apparently dropped a screw and said nothing about it, turns out it fell into cyl. 4 and got mashed into the piston after they fired it up and ran it while it sounded like there was friggin gravel in there. needless to say all they did was replace a piston and the rings and then DIY honed the cyl. walls...... i was not involved in this little project in any way shape or form... lol.
all that being said, i think a small brittle piece like that should pass easily

you know what you have to do, but you don't want to do it. and nobody wants to tell you, but I will tell you. To be 100% sure, you have to pull of the head, UNLESS you have access to a borescope. and you can rent them. Thats the only way I would feel comfortable.

I got it!!!!
I borrowed a friends boroscope.
I used air to move it and then it broke into smaller pieces... Then I used the mechanics claw to get one piece and got the second piece to blow out!!
Sweet!!!!!!!
