to many turbos to many post thousands.. my brain is having a serius break down... can anyone give me the best compination for the best performance???

i have an evo 8 with

Check out the MAP EF Turbo series results thread...Good info. I've heard many good things about the MAP EF turbos....

I cannot offer much more than this link. Others may chime in too...

thank you for your prompt reply

i have already read this post .the difference is my engine is 2.0l

i think i will have lag..

until know i have tried fpgreen first generations.the only negative think that i have noticed is that there is not top end.. after 6000rpms car feels is out of power.boost is almost 1.9bars... and no power....

With 100 octane pump gas EF4 should do the trick another turbo for stock frame is the FP Black BB if you want to stay with a stock frame turbo these are the two that most people will swear by. If you wanted to go for a T3 set up i'd look at the ETS or AMS V-band set ups.

With the stock frames you will have more lag then stock yes but the EF4 and Black still spool pretty quick for the power they can give you

I'd personally stick with the FP Red with those horsepower goals. Less lag, more fun, and definitely WILL get you to that power goal and some.

Red would get you there but for the same price you can get a black. Just encase you want to take the car further in the future, only buy once

If 450whp is your goal on pump gas, I would recommend our EF3 turbo. With both housings ported you should have nice spool, and still be able to reach your goals.

I would gladly hook you up with a sweet deal on one! Feel free to shoot me a PM!

thanks alot for your suggestion

my question is this. with my fp green i have very strong low rpm power (max torque 53kgrs at 3650rpm)but my top end meanning after 5500rpm(pressure is still 1.9bars) turbo cannot give more and the car feels like is out of power.is map ef 3 capapable to give power up to 8000rpm???
and second.i am using the fp stronger actuator for the waste gate but even thow waste gate actuator cannot hold pressure in high rpm(iam using evcr boost controler).does your actuator can hold hi boost pressure in high rpms????
i have tried strong springs to hold the wastegate but still nothing..

i am insisting to stay in stock frame because from all those thinks that i have heard is that tubular exhaust manifolds are working only in high rpms and the do not help you for low rpm spool.maybe i am wrong but do you have to suggest any new tubular exhaust manifold??? someone told me that the new designs with v band are helping you to spool from low rpms.. is that true???

Twin scroll manifolds tend to allow turbos to spool earlier, but the spool of twin scrolls mostly mean the lack of power at top end in comparison to single scroll manifolds. Also, the spool difference of twin scroll vs single scroll is minute that it's not worth losing top end in favor of minuscule earlier spool.

Having that said, your choice of turbo and A/R will affect the spool characteristics more than the manifold itself. For example, the HTA3076 is a pretty fast spooling turbo and it yields incredible power. An HTA3582 with a 0.63 A.R will spool much much earlier than an HTA3582 with a 0.82 A/R.

So saying that all stock frame turbos spool earlier than T3, V-band, or T4 turbos on a stock block is not true. As most of us know, an FP Black on a stock block hits full boost around 4500 RPM, and I'm positive an HTA3076 an a stock block with supporting mods will match those results.

In fact, here are VD results of both turbos on stock blocks:

HTA3076:

FP Black:

I would do a new FP Green HTA. Although your power goals are probably not what you think they are. A small Turbo will make power early and then Max out and feel flat up top. If you want increased power all the way to 8k it will make more than 450whp. 400tq at 8k rpm is 610whp. 300tq is 450whp@8k. So even stock block safe 350wtq would be about 530whp. You have a built block and could run 30psi easily on 100octane so you will be way above 350tq. I would say a GT35R kit will be your best bet. Not to laggy on a built 2.0 and will pull hard past 8k.

This thread should give you a pretty good idea of what the EF3 would be capable of on pump gas (even though this is a 2.5)
