Having Shep/TRE and Jack's endorse will go a LONG way to user community adoption rate. A lot of us just send trans in and get whatever they recommend. If they start recommending these in even their most basic upgrade package you will be golden.

While I join some of the members here in looking ungrateful by bemoaning the lack of a full gear set and I'm grateful as I'm sure the rest of us are that you are investing time and money into a platform many others have left for greener (IE: GTR) pastures.

If and when a transmission rebuild comes up fro me I will buy whatever is available (3-5 gearset or hopefully a full gearset.

Thanks

I will buy a set if Jon @ TRE says it will be worthwhile The 1-2 shift is very important in my car and probably the most brutal being its used for drag racing, so I will also be waiting for a full set.

The carbon synchros are cheaper than the OE replacements.

The Honda guys love them. I can't wait to see if you can push a single disc clutch to 9k and have zero lock out issues.

i ran these in one of my hondas with mfactory gears, they were awesome. ill be jumping on a set eventually, since 5th gear syncro really doesnt like road racing.

I ask my buddy that own a civic used for hard track about this synchro brand. He said that they work perfect for hondas and if the company develop them for evo, to go ahead with the buy.

evo vii 1 - 2 gears' synchros are different from 8 - 9. 3rd is the same, 4 - 5, must have to do a research, i will post later the synchros code for evo vii.

evo 8 1st/2nd syncros can be used in evo4-6 transmissions. they will be operating as a double snycro. the gears are not machined for the extra friction surface. so a syncro set 1-5 made for 8/9 will still be benefit for the earlier transmissions as well.

Are the sliders equally as important as the synchro rings to replace?

After "rebuilding" mine, I think so. They have teeth inside that will wear, too. If you're going to go to the trouble, might as well do it. Synchros, springs, sliders. Check your forks for wear and cracks.

Any idea on how long it might take? When do we owe payment and when would we have delivery? I'm talking to Jon about putting these in my trans and i'll be testing it on the road course in August if possible. Trans is being pulled July 21st after my time attack event.

It is hurry up and wait time right now. We have the tooling ordered for 3/4/5 and probably will have the first batch finished in September.

Payment will not be due until we have the parts ready to ship.
