We are sending several sets for testing in various cars in November. I completely understand those who prefer to wait until a product has been on the market for a while with real world results. This preorder group buy is discounted for those who want to get in early. After the initial release we will be closing this offer but the parts will still be available at the regular price for those who wish to wait.

I thought it was the gears themselves that are narrower than the 5 speed, and that that is what became a problem at higher power levels?
oh maybe it's that. i just remember jon@tre saying something about the 6spd's synchros and keys and.. can't remember anything else he said lol
6-speed is the gears. since the transmission is the same size i think they cut down the 3rd gear mostly (why not 5th or 6th!) to make room for the extra gear

1st and 2nd are slightly wider, but the rest are more narrow. 4th gear is typically what shreds first under extended abuse.
