Front Differential/ Transfer Case advice

Hey guys, my front diff ended up blowing up at the drags this past weekend and now im looking in to either doing a rebuild on my OEM front diff or upgrading to a 04 rs front diff with is a lsd instead of being open like the OEM one. The rebuild is only 95$ from TRE and supposedly replaces the weak OEM spider gears. Ive also herd that it is not wise to have a lsd in the front without have ACD (I have an 03 EVO so no ACD) Im looking to get some feed back on what way I should choose to go and why. Also im wondering if I should have my transfer case rebuilt while im at it. (My car only has 70k miles on it and I don't hear a whine from my t case or anything) I don't plan on launching it to much anymore or really drag racing the car now that I know how fast it will run a 1/4 mile. Just Auto x. Thanks in advance for the feedback!!

rs lsd in the front (or quaife/ wavetrac). and rebuild if you have it out already.

care to share why its bad to have lsd without acd? never heard of this before.
considering a lot of people are seeking non acd lsd tcases.

I'd say do it once and forget about it; get the wavetrac/quaife. Best thing I've ever done to my car was install the wavetrac.

I also unfortunately had to drive it about 7 miles home from the drags, hope when I tear it apart today I don't find that metal shavings from my spider gears made there way into transfer case :/

quaife/ wavetrac = 1000$ ish, a rebuild of the stock from TRE is only 95, are the benefits worth the extra 900?

I do notice my car will spin up the inside front tire a bit on tight corner exits. It's an 05 with a stock lsd and acd. The stock lsd does catch it, but it takes long enough that I notice it. I would imagine the aftermarket ones simply react faster, or don't have a reaction time at all. But that's only when really pushing the car at autocross. Don't really notice it anywhere else..

Eh I had an 05 evo back in the day the factory front LSD is over rated. ACD (once its tuned) is bad *** though. What do you plan on doing with the car I might ask? are you autocrossing? Drag racing? Daily? if your drag racing I wouldnt even bother with the front LSD (just my opinion) if your tracking the car might want to think about upgrading to it but just remember your evo is a 50/50 split might want to think about how the car will react with out having ACD

finally got to taking it apart after work yesterday, my spider gears were mushed up into a metal soup. Good news is no metal shavings flowed out of my front diff! Sent it in to Shep trans for a rebuild today.... didn't figure 1000 for a quife is worth it. After all I do track it but its not full race car and I still dd it
