TAKE OFF THERMOSTAT???Overheating issue with half size radiator. (Mishimoto and Koyo)
I'm having temp issue on stop and go traffic. I DD my car. I had Mishimoto radiator and Koyo but the temp still goes up? I set my fan to go off in my AEM @178° but temp still rises.
Should I take off my thermostat or put a colder one?
Should I install a better fan? What fan do you suggest? (My fan seems like pulling slow. Forgot the CFM of my slim fan)
Will this help??? http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/cart/472661

im running a half width koyo....my gauge reads around 200 city and highway driving. on cool days, it will get down to 180 on the highway. fal shrouded fan and mishimoto thermostat is being used but i dont think the thermostat is necessary. the only way you can get it to stop overheating is get a stronger fan. i see you have a ff kit...does that mean you have room behind the radiator? ditch the slim fan if so and use the stock shrouded fan. if that wont fit, get a shrouded FAL. its working great for me.
