To be clear, my intent isn't to "bash" anyone. 95% of the parts I've purchased for all 3 of my EVO's have come from MAP. I've never had any issues with them before which is why this has been such a huge disappointment. The first issue I have is one that keeps my car down for 4.5 months longer than it should have been, and going on 9 months now total. I've never been without any vehicle this long before, and I'd never been one of those guys I read about on the forums with car issues that ran into months. Normally those issues come because of poor modding, insufficient funds, bad mechanics/tuners, and I don't have any of those issues. Through absolutely no fault of my own my car is sitting 450 miles away in a shop, completely paid for, awaiting some sort of forward progress. All I want is a reliable turbo, and my car back home ASAP.

for every bad review there is a good one. i had a turbo fail on me (unknown mileage and history + faulty DV = boom) so i called MAP right away. i sent it in, they had a quote within a couple days, then it was fixed and on the way back shortly thereafter. someone always answered the phone and answered all my questions. i now have a "new" turbo, so we'll see how she holds up.

so far, i'm happy with MAP.

OP: sorry to hear about all the issues you are having. hopefully things work out quickly for you. i would imagine MAP is going to want to take their time figuring out EXACTLY how the issue came to be in order to better help you and other customers.

Hopefully yours holds up longer than mine did. I'm just ready to get my refund, and find another turbo so I can finally have my car home after 9 months. The past 5 months has been dealing with MAP. I picked the car up to take it home 5 months ago, and the first turbo fell apart 250 miles into the 450 mile trip home. That was an awesome trip...
