Turbo.

So I'm In Need Of A New Turbo "Supposedly".
I Have An 05' Evo 8 With Less Than 80k Miles On It.
My Bf Was Driving It Yesterday And He Said He Noticed Smoke Coming Out
Of The Exhaust (Which I Know For A Fact It Doesn't Always Mean Its The Turbo) And I've Also Noticed It Lags A Lot When I Really Step On It And Let Go Of The Pedal Slowly. Now He Drives A BRZ....1. Its A Subaru And 2. No Turbo So He May Just Be Trying To Make Me Get Rid Of It, Idk Haha.
Anyways, Where's A Good Place To Get A Turbo? Dealership?
I'm Not Looking To Get More HP, More Boost, I Wanna Keep My Evo OEM.
Any Help, Thoughts Are Appreciated! Thanks!

You can get a replacement center cartridge from Forced Performance for a decent price. Just keep your turbine cover and compressor cover to swap over.

They're only gonna have ix chra available since that's all they use. In that case I think for a chra (no turbine housing ) 325+. Keep in mind the install kit needed for 8's

you can get the HTA71 and bolt it up to your oem hotside. Just make sure that you get the evo 9 J-pipe for the install. it can be had for 25 bucks on ebay and you can bend your 8 oil and coolant lines to work with the HTA71 although the FP Oil line is recommended.

Oh I did not realize it was an evo 8 and not a 9. In that case I do have my evo 8 turbo with 36k on it if you are interested.
