So I reversed my car and drove it was fine put then it in 1st drove and it was fine, then neutral and put it back in first then my clutch got stuck to the floor and didn't come back up. I had to pull the clutch pedal to come back up bt when I try to push the clutch pedal back down it would only go down an inch and is stuck. The clutch pedal is rock solid and won't go down or go into gear. What's wrong with it? Is it the the slave/master cylinder? Throwout bearing? Or clutch itself? I towed it to a shop and they said I need a whole new clutch kit and that its gonna cost $1,800. Price seems ridiculous for an OEM clutch kit and installation. What should I do before going this route of pulling the tranny and changing the whole clutch kit. I don't wanna take out the tranny if thats not the problem. Please help!

 

I had the exact same problem and it was my throw out bearing. You're gonna end up pulling the trans. Good luck
