bit of a brain fart if you ask me. shep was popping rear ends in the awd talon every other pass. literally. car was at about 1000whp awd. thats about 500rwhp through the rear. the brain fart is thinking the IRS rear will support 800+rwhp. this car will be getting a cutup rear end setup with an american rear end. dave just doesnt realize it yet.

not that I care.

The Norris Evo went this way but also had other frame modification's which imo sets it a part from the other record holding evo's that came before it.

It would be super cool to hear more detail's about where the auto trans project failed and what could have been improved on to get it working... If it was a money problem where he would be willing to continue the project with backing, dare I say open a "KickStarter" Campaign... That way potential buyers and supporters could put up the money in hopes of a product with a discount on the back end when its ready to be produced.... but probably too late for that.

Thats all form me, back to dreaming and good luck with the RWD EVO
Thank you. The auto project actually was working well finally, we are having failures on the end case now and not sure what is causing it, needs an engineer to finish it. I'm hoping to find someone to buy the project from me, we have both transmissions fixed and ready to run now and I'll look for a buyer at some point.

Uh shep was also 5 speed manual so more torque and more driveline shock, so not really relevant. Its not gonna need a ford 9" or anything of that ****. He didn't put a v8 in it, torque is still nothing compared to a larger motor. The evo or even 3kgt rear end should work just fine.

And in theory if the car hooks the handling should be improved because even more weight will be behind the front tires.

Have you done anything at all yet? I mean you have spent the last 10 years on here talking but have you accomplished anything yet? I hope some day I am as smart as you are, you seem to know it all.

Not sure why you're posting if you don't care, but you obviously have no real world experience relative to anything going on in this thread.

AWD cars split power between four axles. RWD will be handling all the power. DUH. a local here and I converted his 91 talon to rwd. that car was breaking axles with 270whp. dave has built at least three RWD 8 second 4g63 shop cars. Ask him what rear ends those cars ran and if any of them ran a mitsubishi IRS rear end. sometimes the smartest people in the world have aha moments. this will be one of them.
