Question weird key/starting problem

Put key in and turn it to position II, pumps prime

Turn key to start, engine starts but as soon as I release the key , the engine dies

I can start the engine and then only let the key back slightly, just enough to not continuously engage the starter, and the engine will stay running. But to keep it running, I have to hold the key, because as soon as I release the key and let it fall back to position II, the engine dies.

BTW, this is on an Evo 9 with AEM EMS v2. And it worked the night before. The weather dropped by like 30 degrees, so my tuner made a few changes to my start map and now its doing this. And due to other reasons, I am no longer dealing with that tuner. So now I just need to be able to start my car every couple of days without holding the key, until I find a new tuner.

Any clue to what the problem is? I am thinking something to do with ignition switch
