Any major differences between the engine blocks of evo7 and evo8??

Hello fellow EVO enthuisasts,

I am trying to find out if our engine block is totally different than the JDM version. From what I was told, the JDM ver7/8 have better valves, valve springs and other better engine components than our USDM version.. Is it true??

any helpful infos and suggestions will be very appreciated!

Thanks

Possibly some forged components, but from everything I've read, the Long Block is more or less the same.. I think the differences are mainly in the stuff thats bolted onto the motor and other parts of the car.

I've been researching cams, and I've had a couple of vendors say that the 7 and 8 use different valve springs. Could someone overseas check the part numbers and let us know?

Jae ..they are talking about engine blocks, not turbos. Most already know JDM EVOs come with Ti Turbos.
