New exhaust manifold a bit 'lippy'?

Hi. A new exhaust manifold i ordered arrived today and it's certainly not a cheap POS, but after having a look down the pipes a couple of them aren't quite as smooth as I'd like. I'm not going for insane power so I'm not sure if I should worry about it? my mods are :

3" decat tbe, eBay turbo elbow, s2 cams, perrin intake, EBC, forged rods, remap and 3.5" agp intercooler and LICP which will be fitted with the manifold before my map touch up. I'm probably going to leave the mods there as this is my DD and I don't want to take it too far

At them sort of power levels, would the slight lips make any difference or shouldn't I worry

Thanks

Any opinions appreciated

Thanks

Yeah I didn't think it was ideal. I've emailed the manufacturer to let them know I'm not overly impressed, but will get the engineers at my work to smooth out any rough patches for me. The rest of the joins I felt were pretty good so it seems weird 2 of the most obvious wouldn't get smoothed out!?

Thanks

Is it just me or does the exhaust flange look warped?

As far as I could tell nothing's warped. Other than the lips it looked all good.

I got an email back and the guy has said that those parts are meant to be smoothed over but for some reason (he will look into) it hasn't been done. He also said that on the CFD program they use to model their manifolds, the taper is by far the worst part for the flowing gasses (which is the reason theirs is the largest taper available) and any little steps are nothing in comparison. Nevertheless he said he will have it picked up tomorrow and corrected and then sent back to me in a few days, so either way I'm happy I guess.

Thanks for the replies.

Just the picture mate, it's all even in real life, I spent ages eyeballing it so would have noticed

Right on.. Once you get that thing cleaned up a bit on the inside you are going to have one awesome looking piece there. You should show it off once you get it installed.

Dude you should have had Fathouse Fabs make a manifold for you. I'm not just saying that because I have one of theirs, they seriously are one of the best fabricators I've seen and their prices are same as ETS and STM manifolds/hotside kits and are handmade/tailor made for each setup. Glad the manufacturer is fixing your mani though. Feast your eyes on my setup.

That's one seriously pretty engine bay! I do order a fair bit of stuff from you guys (agp intercooler, perrin intake, s2 cams) and even with import tax and shipping it normally costs the same or less as buying over here, but i got my manifold for £510 delivered and I probably would have paid more than that just buying a manifold from your side of the pond, so this time it made sense to stick with the uk. The manifold is getting collected by a courier tomorrow to be taken to be finished (I spoke to the MD and he was really helpful), so I'll post up pics when it's on
