Intake manifold for MY setup?

I just finished reading well over 100 pages on various forums about which Evo intakes are the best, etc etc. Basically, what I have gathered is about the same as every other aftermarket part: it depends on your application, and the top 5 major players are about the same so pick whatever one you like.

However, I couldn't really have find any test results with a setup like mine (honestly, I don't see very many setups like mine period). So, based on this information, which intake do you guys personally think is the best? I am thinking either Magnus, AMS, JM Fab or Full Race.

Here is general information about the build:
Standard stroke 2.4L bottom end
non-ported Evo 9 head
S2 cams
PTE 6266 gen 2 (800hp) turbo
full race exhaust manifold
STM full blown 70mm throttle body

I think that is the most relevant mods to this question. The car is built for road coursing with daily-ability in mind. It'll probably see the drags once in a while, but frankly I couldn't care less about drag, more about road coursing (hill climbs, etc).

Power goals are around 650whp (mustang dyno) on E85 (or water meth, still haven't decided, most likely E85). I realize the stock intake manifold can hit these numbers, but read road coursing. I need the best spool possible without losing a bunch of top end.

Sorry the information is so spread out, just trying to give enough background information for people to be able to accurately help me out!

Thanks!

P.S. I am thinking about getting a bigger throttle body, but I figured matching one of those to an intake would be easier than the other way around.

I am running a very similar setup to yours, 6266 & S2, except on a 2.0L.

I was planning on ordering the JMFab race manifold. If price wasn't a concern, I'd go with a Magnus.

So someone PM'd me saying a ported Skunk2 was the best.

I am not sure which one is best but I can tell you that the Skunk2 has very thick walls if you are going to end up porting the snot out of it.
My guess would be the Magnus for larger turbos but I know there are some people using Skunk2 and making good power. I run it but I am only at the 550+ or so whp mark on E85 (mustang dyno). I choose it cause it was recommended to me and it is supposed to give good flow up top while still being good in the low/ mid range area.

CB Stock ported with 70mm TB. I went from the AMS F1i to the CB Stock ported with a stock TB and the car feels so much better at lower RPM. I found that the boost came on better and felt like it had more mid section in it.

I've been using the revised Magnus SMIM with a Boomba TB and have a CB extreme ported 70mm IM and Full Blown 70mm TB coming in the mail in a few days. I'm expecting huge gains in the mid range and can post a before/after. Using a 2.3L, FS635 turbo with FP .85 turbine housing and Tomei 270/11.5mm Procams. If you're wanting the manifold breaking the records, go for the STM modified Skunk 2 manifold.

I am running Kansai Service intake manifold with S90 TB. Kansai I believe is top line and is not difficult to be installed (small modification is required).
Boompa TB also is really good. Better cylinder head or ported cylinder head will help also.

Magnus V5.

Simple, when I did the test on a 2.4/FS635 car we got - stock was 636whp@35psi, ported was 657@35, Magnus was 708@35.

For reasons Aaron just cited, Magnus V5.
I have one, and did research like you.

On more important matter:
Road coursing with 650whp?
I think virtually impossible, unless you have Nemo or Tilton Evo budget.

Few road course Evo engines delivering more than 500whp DJ stay together.
Most road course Evos (that last) run 20-23psi, even on E85..maybe up to 25psi on E85.

Best to go for few trackdays and go from there so am not preaching.
You'll be possibly suprised, it's about braking and cornering, plus thermal management.

I know you were talking Mustang 650whp,
I think you need to try 500whp Mustang, or less, on track, to see if you can make good use of it.

I was in the same predicament not too long ago, Magnus v5 or the Skunk2. After much research and numerous days and nights of constantly changing my mind I finally went with the STM ported Skunk2 intake manifold and Full Blown throttle body.
