Hi guys got a evo 8 260 with full 2.2 engine build running 600hp but since going from Std 1st to 2nd after 6000 rpm is a no go it's like there is no gear there its either short shift or wait for revs to drop any ideas please as doing my head it as like drag racing and it's making this a major problem!!

Sounds like you have clutch drag.

Or you're getting wheel spin which makes it very hard to get the 1-2 shift.
