How to tell: GSC Beehive single spring

I got a set of GSC Single Beehive springs barely used (~2-3k miles) and I want to go a different route.
I'm looking to sell these but I want to be sure they actually are beehive springs.

How can I tell? I don't want to hose anyone.

I don't think it's advisable to buy used springs, and what direction is better than Beehives?

I would have no problem buying used valve springs if I knew they were low mileage. You can measure them for free height, if they aren't collapsed they are good to go..

This is one way to tell, broke driving down the road after a few thousand miles. Purchased a set of Kiggly and would recommend the same.

I personally knew the seller, so 3k on used cams and springs seems negligible to me.

There are more than one type of beehive springs by part number.

I'll post up a picture when I get home.

Which GSC springs did you have which failed? That's a bummer.
What's the difference between GSC beehive and Kiggly Beehive?

There were a few documented cases of people with the GSC beehive springs where the spring broke. These were the lower revving set, not the 5041.

I would ask GSC. Judging by the retainer, they look like GSC retainers. The ones that come with the 5041 kit are machine thinner to accommodate over 12mm lift cams like the R2.
