Transmission failures

I can't seem to find a concrete answer about the 5th gear grinding issues that is common on the 5spds. If I were to do a rebuild what can I do to prevent it from happening again? I don't think the grind is from user error, so if I rebuild with new synchros it will likely happen again after given time. What can be done to prevent this issue from reoccurring?

Unless you're tracking the car, or the clutch is adjusted improperly, this isn't a common issue AFAIK
