Hey everyone, Im rebuilding my 5 speed transmission off my evo 8 because the bearing on 5th gear seized and transmission locked up while driving. I had it built by shep less than 3k miles ago but they said I'm SOL so I'm redoing it myself now. I split the case remove the roller pins and such but my shafts aren't coming out of the case. Probably a stupid question but all the other forums show the shafts in other have of case I was wondering if anyone had any idea's I've tried pry bars and everything
P.S. i have a second tranny that I'm using for parts i bought it with a bad third gear synchro i wanted to move my evo 9 1-2 gears over with the synchro's to the used tranny
any help is greatly appreciated



Most shafts stay in other half of case when split as most other people post pictures but not mine

 

Have you opened up that little inspection plate and removed the reverse gear idler?

Sorry if it's a dumb question just trying to cover everything.

 

Yes I did on both transmissions both reverse gears are out.
