dyno numbers

just wanted to let everyone know that i just got my evo dyno tuned last week and the numbers are alittle less than expected.
here are my mods
hks mega flow filter
hks downpipe
tanabe ultra medallion
manual boost controller(19psi)
safcII

after tuning the afc my best dyno was 244.1 and 254ft-lbs torque
I really do think that once i get a high flow cat my numbers will improve- ithink the stock cat is causing some restrictions.
any thoughts guys?

What dyno did you use? Some read lower than others. With those mods, you should be dynoing 280-290 whp.

What are your settings on the afc? They might not be aggressive enough. Were you tuning with a wideband o2? Our cars run very rich stock. Taking fuel out really helps.

There's really nothing else I can think of that could be wrong with your car. Maybe your boost gauge is reading too high and you're really running lower boost. My autometer boost gauge was off at higher boost levels, so I had to get another one to tune the mbc. Are you running 19 psi at redline, or just spiking to 19 and tapering off to a lower value?

i just got an idea maybe you poured in some bad gas and the ECU is pulling timing like crazy, reset the ecu by disconnecting the neg. terminal for couple of minutes

the dynoing was done on a dynojet awd dynameter using a wideband af as well. my boost is 19psi. it is not a spike and then fall. when the car is wot it is at 19psi and stays there

that's way low. i have since added more mods, but with hks rs intake, B&B turbo back, ebc, i dynoed 298whp. That's 50 whp more and i didn't have a safc. your numbers don't sound right. something's off. can you post the charts? do they have the A/F curve on them too?

yeah i know its low really makes me mad. i mean i pay that kind of money on a car- put the basic mods on and those are the numbers i got- i was also thinking that the entire time i was getting dynoed, the shop kept having problems with the dyno. like they had to keep messing with it.
my boost is def 19 psi steady

on my afc my TH-point is showing Lo- 25% Hi- 80%
not real sure what setting info you guys want- i am not real good with the afc- hence the reason i had it tuned by a shop that is.

And sorry also that i cannot post the dyno chart- not that it is at all impressive...all i can say is that this sucks

Sounds like they had trouble with the dyno, and took your money anyway even though the dyno was reading way hosed up numbers! Those AFC settings with your mods should put you in the 280's or 290's at the wheels.... and that is probably what you actually have! Sounds like the dyno was all jacked up.

Keith

PS: If you have a drag strip near by you can check for yourself what kind of power you are producing

Sounds like the numbers were off a Mustang dyno instead.
