which boost controller is the best

I have mode A set to 18 and B to 20.5.
The PSI model has a feature called offset. It says it improves spooling time.
But I haven't playing with that feature yet.
My only "complaint" is that the display is very dim. It is hard to see in daylight.
I hope it's not my unit; that I have a defective one.
Anyone out there with HKS EBCs notice the same problem ??
Somebody tell me I'm not alone...

ROb my settings for EVC V
A: 72 - 20psi
B: 84 - 21- 22psi
I have not played with teh offset. Its at 100 (default)
Mike's Dad : there is a mode where you can adjust teh contrast from 0 -100. I forgot which mode but read your instruction manuals.

I just install a used HKS EVC V (KpA) today, I replaced my Turboxs HPBC,(which was pretty good).
The main difference I noticed is only slight boost taper past 6500rpms (I redline at 7800).
I have A set for 141KpA (20.5psi) and B set for about 19 psi.
Pretty easy to install, had to use my own vacuum hoses as the ones with it were too big or small. I also didn't use the filters.
Pics later on install.

The display is still pretty washed out in daylight.
Also still looking for a good place to mount the display.

I have the B set to 62% - this gives me 20.5 psi.
Both offset settings are at 100%
We set the warning at 21 first thing and it never triggered.
Haven't messed with scramble either.
When we were doing some 3rd and 4th gear pulls to set up mode B, I would see the peak hold go
to 20.5 and then the main display would read 20.3/20.4 till Mike got off the throttle.
For mode A, the peak went to 18psi and the main display would read 17.8psi.
I thought this was an indication that the boost was holding well with no big spikes.
0.2psi is not much of a taper, but we didn't go much past 6k.
For a base line pull, we left the setting at 0% and the display would read 12.5/12.6 psi.
This was the wastegate spring pressure on this car. But they are going to all be a little different,
so each persons % setting is going to vary some.
I plumbed the unit just like the instructions said. I had to use my own hose instead of
the bigger hose in the kit. I was able to use the smaller hose. I used the filters as shown.
And I put the Tee for the 4mm line right in the BOV hose.
I also mounted the stepper motor unit pointing straight up.
