Turbo water line leaks

After several attempts, I can't get these stupid things to not leak. OEM hose, silicone hose, pushlok race hose, you name it, they all leak. I was contemplating modifying the hardlines by welding AN fittings on and running AN lines. Has anyone done this? Did you use 6an or 4an fittings and line?

I would weld, and use -6AN

i was having the same issues

I also tried the AN to hard line adapters, but failed for me...they started to leak because of the slight tolerance difference in the hard line to standard AN. JB weld and heat shrink fixed that.

I guess one advantage would be with AN to hard line would be it can be done in car fairly easy. you would only need to do ONE line.... the supply side on the Thermostat housing i just pulled out the old hose and Tapped a AN to NPT fitting.

Glad I'm not the only one that has experienced these unsolvable leaks...lol. Yea, I definitely wasn't going to try compression fittings, they don't like vibration too much and you really need the hard lin to be the exact right size. Thanks for your input.

Are you running an OEM CHRA that uses the banjo bolt with two copper crush washers? If so, is this where it is leaking?

Leaking where the hard from the turbo and rubber hoses meet. No leaks at the banjo bolts, I'm not that much of a 3rd grader mechanic... . In fact, the stainless Xona CHRA is probably the shiniest thing on my car lol

Are you using the factory hose with factory pinch clamps?

I've tried that, new ones of that, factory hose with worm drive clamps (the good, double wrap kind), silicone hose, push lok hose. Tried safety wire, hose clamps, you name it.

At this point, I'm over it. Gonna go with 6an stuff, weld it up, and not have anymore damn leaks.

I've run aftermarket hoses on the hard line with no issue. Sounds like the hardline has a defect such as a hairline crack or something else. Have you tried purchasing a new hardline?

Have you verified its not leaking at the thermostat housing and then leaking down the hose to the hardline interface?
