CEL on after turboback?

Well the CEL is on. I put the turbo back on 2 days ago. I went to autozone to pull the code, I forget what it was specifically but it was something: Catalyst amount changed? something of that nature.
Upon installing the turbo back, the gaskets broke, B&B is replacing them. But can the broken gaskets (aka exhuast leak) cause the CEL to pop on? or is this a common, expected thing?

Any help appreciated.

when the gaskets are changed, try resetting the ecu before startup again... Its just a thought but these cars run so dirty rich, adding an exhaust might changed the air flow enough to change the readings.

Your rear O2 sensor is reading more air flow and thinking that your cat is damaged. It's a soft code and won't affect performance.

since september ive been driving with a cel light on since i got my turboback from ultimate racing.....never really had to worry about it...i help out at a garage and my boss lets me hook up the ecu every now and then to make sure theres nothing else tripping the cel besides that sensor.

^^ Ultimate racing test pipe/hi-flow cat aren't supposed to trigger a CEL. I have a UR test pipe and no CEL. had it for 7500miles. BTW....Mr Bonus is correct. 2 Os sensor is getting an invalid reading. Get a different test pipe. UR and buschur are guaranteed not to throw a CEL.
