Cel question

i just installed a greddy ti c turbo back on my 2011 x the greddy kit came with an extender and the shop that installed it installed the extender for the o2 the car ran all last night with no cel but this morning on the way to work it came on. i also bought a vibrant o2 extender but didnt install it because greddy sent one. do you think vibrant will be better? i am eventually going to get tuned but i want to get a few more parts before then but in the mean time i dont want that cel light showing . Is it bad to drive the car with the cel? Is there a way to shut the cel off without having the car tuned? I did search but couldnt find anything specific to what i was asking.

I also had an evo ix and used a defouler but it worked is the evo x more sensitive?

thanks in advance!!

If the turboback setup came with that defouler, it is probably designed to work fine with it. I know it could be coincidental, but have you had to code read yet to determine if it is p0420 (or whatever code people get with the exhaust)? You can go to any automotive store and buy a code reader which can tell you what the code is AND clear it so that the light goes off.
I would recommend you get the code read first to make sure thats your problem, then try the other defouler to see if it keeps the CEL off.
There will be no issues driving the car with the CEL on, it simply indicates that the issue was present.

Defoulers/extenders generally don't work on the X, you'll need to get it disabled within the ECU (Cobb Accessport or ECUFlash).

pull battery then wait 5-10 mins and put back on! Or go to autozone and have them clear it...
